The March 2006 PE Magazine gives a Pop Quiz: Name the difference between a leader and a manager? Having trouble differentiating? There are key differences between the two roles. As a NSPE Member you have full access to this article and many other professional resources.
So what's the difference? Leaders set the agenda for the character of the firm and develop its people. Managers keep the business moving, serving clients, and satisfying employees.
Leaders are effective, they do the right things. Managers are efficient the do things right. Leaders revere results. Managers revere process.

NSPE Federal Engineer of the Year Awards:
The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) has selected the Top 10 Federal Engineers of the Year as part of its 27th Annual Federal Engineer of the Year Award (FEYA) program. The winners were announced during a ceremony on February 23, 2006, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
