This one-day course focuses on types of change orders and claims that typically cause delays and disruptions. Dan Fauchier takes students through a “to the point” explanation of what constitutes a differing site condition. Type 1 and Type 2 Differing Site Conditions are defined and explained with some great examples. The course continues with examples on how to construct, evaluate, prove and/or resolve a Differing Site Condition Claim. Each example is support by discussion and interaction with students. Differing Site Condition case law is reviewed and used as examples of lessons learned. I now frequently refer to my notes and the course reference materials anytime we encounter a potential delay or disruption. Saddle Island Institute offers a great deal for students – buy three-seats, the forth seat is free! I highly recommend this course for anyone working in Construction Contract Administration.
